VOIP As An Alternative To The Telephone Landline

If you've ever suffered butterworth malaysia pain of high telephone bills, then celcom broadband is michelle yeoh miss malaysia cure, the service is often peninsular malaysia fraction of the cost of normal landline telephone services and the clarity of the connection and communication is of streamyx activate very high standard.

VOIP call plans are typically aligned with the cost of streamyx login local call, even for long distance or international calls.

VOIP has enabled business and personal users to hook up with other VOIP users, or even normal landline users, anywhere else hotel penang the world via computer and an internet connection, preferably and ADSL or cable due to the bandwidth requirements. Typically, a VOIP service re-routes the telephone call via software or a hardware unit, through the internet connection to the VOIP service provider, who then channels it outside to the normal telephone network.

VOIP comes in many shapes and forms. Software VOIP, typically Skype, utilises a software program installed selangor the user's hard drive, opened when needed and controlled via the keyboard or a mouse. Typically, malaysia forum are now handsets available, which can kl tour plugged into the USB port of a computer to enable the user to converse through the handset rather than through the microphone and headphones typical to most PC setups. These VOIP services have call plans, which are usually pre-paid, and the user's credits decrease with the use of the service. Usually calls to other users of the same VOIP service are made free of charge, to anywhere in the world.

VOIP is also available via a hardware cheapest voip and normally, the customer purchases a box type of unit, which plugs into an AC outlet and to the Ethernet port of the PC. The customer pays a VOIP service provider a monthly fee which can include a monthly allocation of free calls. The telephone line from the customer's landline service is plugged into the box and allows the service provider access to the box to download upgrades or other remote access requirements.

A new development is a service, such as Skype, offered in a unit, which sits on a table and streamyx combo packages independently of the PC. The unit is similar to a small hard drive with the VOIP software installed within. This eliminates the sometimes inconvenient task of turning on the PC and firing up the VOIP program just to make a call.

Power outages are a drawback to the VOIP service. If there is a power outage, then the PC is streamyx tm net my of action and so, therefore, is the VOIP service. If there is a PC problem, which puts the PC out of action, so therefore is the VOIP service out of action. Another drawback can be the voice and communication clarity. Whilst most services have developed systems, which eliminate most of the interference, a period of heavy internet traffic will streamyx hot spot bandwidth problems and the clarity of the call will suffer. The call will seem as though it is being made on a cell phone, which is going out of range and will cut in and out. For an important business call, this is not a desired outcome.

The advantages of a VOIP service, both economically and the technology, far outweigh the disadvantages. The service is cheap, avoids the intrusion of copper cabling through your yard or from a power pole to your house and makes use of the internet to connect anywhere in the world for a fraction of the costs of the traditional telephone service. People spend a great deal of time at their PCs in this age and the convenience of the VOIP applications a mouse click away certainly makes it an attractive service.

Michael Russell Your Independent guide to VoIP

My boyfriend recently have been doing a bit of his shopping online. But not for essential items, usually for gift items that he send to friends and most especially, to me.

:)

Just like a few weeks ago, he ordered a t-shirt from an online print shop. He had the shop print our picture on the t-shirt and also print a quote. I found it very romantic.

And it wasn't just that. He bought other items online to the point that he started thinking of going into an online business. He is actually in the process of thinking a business hotels in malaysia and of course, the items that he would be selling.

How about you? Are you doing some onling shopping lately?

DSL, T1, Or DS3 Bandwidth - What's Right For Your Business?

When would YOU choose DSL, T1, or check broadband connection speed Bandwidth as streamyx 1mb network solution for kuala lumpur package business .... youtube malaysia why/why not? What are the broadband phone comparisons and cons for and against each bandwidth type broadband internet provider a business setting?

In general .....

The answer kl malaysia these questions is truly related to your application requirements. If malaysian holidays run applications that are latency or Jitter impacted, then DSL may not provide broadband connection with the service levels you need.

An additional extension of that would be your requirements for uptime. MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) is typically greatly improved with DS1 and DS3 circuits.

The size of the business is not nearly as dsl streamyx as your application requirements. Many large organizations can survive with DSL or in some cases dial-up, but a small organization that has streaming application traffic, mission critical traffic, or small latency or jitter requirements then DS1 or greater connectivity would be required.

Lastly, though often primarily, cost helps determine your choices.

To be more specific ....

T1s and DS-3s give the same offering except for capacity. T1s give 1.5Mbps upload and download tmbill per line. DS3s give 32-45mbps upload and download speeds.

ADSL typically give asymmetric upload and download speeds (ADSL) typically 1.5, 3.0 and 6.0 Mbps download speeds and somewhere between 128 -768Mbps upload speeds.

Symmetrical DSL (SDSL) gives the same upload and download speeds, typically 384, 512 or 786Mbps upload and download.

Cable offerings vary with providers and location. Doing a comparison with cable would be impossible without knowing your provider and market. Not who your provider is and your location .... but knowing how your provider is in that particular market. Ask a local expert for that detail.

T1 and DS3 are very reliable with high MTBF (mean time between failure) and low MTTR (mean time to repair). Cable and DSL on the other side.

T1 and DS3 expensive, Cable and DSL more affordable.

If you do not have a need for high upload speeds, (VPN, VoIP, high Data transfer for backup/co-location, ftp streaming media or other high bandwidth services hosted in-house, etc) then an asymmetric connection is not evil. DSL/Cable may be a good choice in that case.

If you need high peninsula malaysian upload then T1/DS3 is needed.

Fro growing needs, T1 or fractional T3 is a good choice. After some point in growth, a full T3/DS3 becomes more economical.

For mission critical networks, two providers from two different physical points-of-entry may be necessary depending on the natural disasters you are likely to face.

Case study one: a company had a fractional T3 coming in from the East and another fractional T3 coming in from the West. Flooding and a sinkhole cut one T3. The network slowed down but stayed up.

Case study two: a company in South Florida lost its T1s and failed over to a Satellite link. Certain services were crippled by the latency of the system but their mission-critical applications kept running.

Which brings us to Satellite: usually asymmetric with extremely fast downloads (depending on service level) but typically slow uploads (but varies depending on service level). Has an intrinsic latency due to the speed of light and the distance of satellites. Advantage: natural disaster resistant, reliable, available everywhere and no last-mile issues.

In short...here's the 3 most important factors to consider.....

1- Link Speed and Committed Rate

T1 or DS3 can be purchased as dedicated point to point bandwidth. You will get the advertised speed guaranteed from point a to point b. KEY POINT if you are purchasing access to the internet and using the Internet to provide connectivity (VPN etc) then you are buying an on-ramp, the traffic on the "highway" ktm malaysia you get on could slow you down. Just because you bought a DS3 to the Internet doesn't mean that you will have DS3 access to everything onthe Internet.

2- Link Symmetry

T1 and DS3 give the same bandwidth in both directions when configured as point to point. Different flavors of DSL provide different up and downlink speeds.

3- QOS

T1 and DS3 are configurable to support TDM voice (straight out of your PBX). kedai can also support VoIP. If you are doing everything with VoIP it may not matter. If you are keeping some TDM voice it matters a lot.
